Scientists at the University of Ben Gurion in Israel have made this discovery as part of a long-term study: The Mediterranean Mediterranean diet reduces abdominal fat and liver fat, thus leading to a return of the desired body shape and of course helping to improve health. According to scientists, the risk of arterial diseases, strokes and heart attacks is thus greatly reduced. Almost 300 people have been under observation for a period of 18 months, divided into two groups. The first group was given food with a low carbohydrate content, while the second group had more carbohydrates, legumes, many fresh vegetables, fish and poultry, but rarely red meat. In the low-fat group, the same was limited to a maximum of 30% of calories consumed.
Result:
In the participants in the Mediterranean diet, i.e. in the second group, the liver, heart and pancreas dangerous fats were eliminated.
